Once your child has been offered a place at Hadleigh High School for September 2027, we will contact you with further information about joining the school and the arrangements for starting with us.
Appeals
If your child is refused a place at one of your preferred schools, you have the right to appeal against the decision. Further information about the appeals process, including how to submit an appeal, is available from the Suffolk County Council admissions and appeals service.
The timetable for appeals for September 2027 entry will be published by Suffolk County Council. Parents and carers should check the latest guidance carefully and submit their appeal within the published deadline to ensure that it can be considered within the normal appeals timetable.
For further advice about the admissions process, please visit Suffolk County Council's school admissions pages.
In-Year Admissions
Applications to join Hadleigh High School outside the normal Year 7 admissions round are known as in-year admissions.
For an in-year application, please contact the school directly and complete the appropriate application form. As an academy, Hadleigh High School manages its own in-year admissions arrangements. Suffolk County Council's 2027/28 coordinated admissions scheme confirms that parents and carers applying to an academy for an in-year place should contact the academy directly for information about how to apply.

School Transport
Suffolk County Council may provide free school travel for eligible students. Eligibility depends on factors including the child's age, the distance from home to school and whether the school attended meets the Council's eligibility criteria.
Parents and carers are responsible for arranging their child's transport to and from school. Full information about eligibility, applications and available school travel can be found on the Suffolk on Board website.
Parents and carers are encouraged to check their child's eligibility and transport arrangements before accepting a school place.
